              Ribbon-Cutting:  Whitewater Valley Arts Association

              The Fayette County Chamber is pleased to invite you to the Grand Opening Ribbon-Cutting of the Whitewater Valley Arts Association.  The opening of this new location has been a long time coming and is worth celebrating as they start this new chapter!

              Sharon McQueen, President, provided the following update on their project:  Since the Whitewater Valley Arts Association was gifted the building at 402 Central Avenue by the Richard Smith family in 2014, we have been working diligently to make our dream of a new facility in downtown Connersville a reality.  We have put in a new electrical system, new heating and air, replaced plumbing, reroofed, torn down walls & ceilings, refinished floors, cleaned, painted, made ADA acceptable and virtually worked our fingers to the bone. Because of the good hearts in this community, the funds to do all this have been made available. Because of you and others like you, we have a new home.                In addition, our opening exhibit will be “Building on a Legacy”. Join us as we take you through our historical permanent collection to our current artists’ work.
