Connersville, Indiana - On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the Grand Opening of DNA Genetics' new Indiana Gene Transfer Center located in Fayette County with a ribbon-cutting at 4811 W. County Road 1000 North (please visit the Chamber's website for map with directions).  The Chamber's ribbon-cutting is part of their four-hour open house (12 Noon to 4pm), which the public is invited to attend to meet their staff, enjoy lunch, tour the lab and barns, and learn about their services.

DNA Genetics, of Columbus, Nebraska, is proud to be opening the Indiana Gene Transfer Center.  They are a third generation family-owned and operated farming operation committed to providing the finest genetics for pork producers in North America.  Their ownership and team members are active community members and serve in a variety of ways, such as:  paying property taxes, purchasing from local suppliers, and giving back through volunteering efforts with churches, schools, and service organizations.  They hope to play a key role in the economic development and quality of life of Fayette County for many years to come.  Here are some examples:\
    • $2.5 million state-of-the-art facility
    • One of the 11 DNA Genetics gene transfer centers in North America
    • Expected employment of nine full-time and 10 part-time team members
    • Average payroll $400-$500k
    • Will deliver product to more than 50 customers within a 250 miles radius
DNA Genetics, the second largest swine genetic supplier in North America, invites the public to the open house of their state-of-the-art genetic transfer center.  The newly constructed facility is located in northeast Fayette County, Indiana.  Staff will conduct guided tours through their barns and lab (which will be the only time this center is open for the public due to biosecurity) and have presentations about DNA and how this facility will impact the swine industry in the Eastern Corn Belt.
