Public Notice: Participants Needed for Cancer Screening Study

The Chamber was notified of an upcoming research study called the RISE (Rural Interventions for Screening Effectiveness) Project, “Power through Prevention.”  Fayette County will be included as one of the thirty-two counties in this study being conducted by Indiana University in collaboration with The Ohio State University.  The RISE Project is being conducted in areas where rates of breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer are higher than the national average.

The Chamber has been asked to assist in getting this information into the community.  We ask that you share this information with your employees, friends, and family who are between the ages of 50 and 74 and have thoughts or opinions about cancer screening tests.  Eligible participants will receive gift cards.
